PATIO ROSES

CIDER CUP (Dicladida)                                £5.95
1988
Small Hybrid Tea shaped blooms of an apricot shade.
A stiff, strong grower.  It makes a beautiful button hole!

DANNY BOY (Dicxcon)                          £5.95
2000
A new addition last year to the patio collection.
This one is a rusty orange and the quantity of bloom is enough to make anyone break into song--well it does if you're Irish and have had a few drinks.
Seriously, it's highly recommended!

FAIRY QUEEN (Sperien)                    £5.95
1999
A sport of the famous
"The Fairy".
It has rose red double blooms enhanced by dark green foliage.
Dare we say, we prefer this one to the original!

GENTLE TOUCH (Diclulu)                            £5.95
1986
An HT in miniature; pale pink perfectly formed blooms open quite quickly, but as the flowering habit is almost as fast, there is always a pleasing display of colour.
Rose of The Year for 1986.

LITTLE WOMAN (Diclittle)                    £5.95
1987
Mid pink HT shaped blooms.
A little taller and more upright than other Patio varieties.

Ideal either in a border or a bed.

LOVELY FAIRY (Spevu)                     £5.95
1994
A sport of the "Fairy". This time with deep pink double blooms and dark foliage.
If you love "The Fairy", you'll love this!

MARRY ME (Dicwonder)                              £5.95
1998
Another rose for the romantics!
Miniature HT shaped blooms of camellia pink almost smother the foliage during first flowering.
Plant is well rounded, and though a little taller that most Patio varieties, it is one of the best in its class.

NEWLY WED (Dicwhynot)                                £5.95
2002
A beautiful crystal white with glowing yellow stamens, best described as a Patio Carpet because of its low, spreading yet relatively compact habit.

Wonderful in a hanging basket. Good in most corners of the globe!

RAINBOW MAGIC (Dicxplosion)                 £5.95
1999
As its name suggests, this covers a spectrum of colour from cerise and yellow to pink and ivory.
Has a spreading habit so allow more room if you choose this one.

RED RASCAL (Jacbed)       £5.95
1987
Full petalled satiny red blooms.
A neat little bush.

SHINE ON ( Dictalent)                                   £5.95
1994
Produces a dazzling display of a blend of pink and orange double blooms.  It's possible that this one produces more flowers per stem than any other in its class.
A real gem!

SWEET MAGIC (Dicmagic)                        £5.95
1987
Voted "Rose of the Year" in 1987, it is still one of the best selling varieties in the UK.
Blooms are orange/gold with a sweet fragrance.

TEAR DROP (Dicomo)                           £5.95
1989
Certainly won't make you cry when it rains as the pure white blooms just shrug off water as if nothing had happened.  Tight, low and even habit.
Yellow stamens add to the attraction of this rose.

ROCKABYE BABY (Dicdwarf)                            £5.95

2005

This deep yellow Patio variety maintains its colour from bud to old flower, and the blooms which are very full petalled clean well.  Their spacing is such that there is no crowding of the plant.  Low-growing at around 60 cm, and while it has a bushy habit, the plant remains neat and compact.  Dense, dark green glossy foliage.

A good variety for growing in a tub.

GEORGE BEST (Dichimanher)            £10.00

2007

Named in honour of the late, great footballer this is, quite naturally, red in colour. Borne in clusters of eight to twenty, the deep red buds gradually lighten in shade to finish as a pinkish red. The small to medium size blooms are very abundant. It is a low growing and bushy plant with dense small, mid- to dark green glossy foliage. Can be planted in large tubs as well as in the ground.

We are happy to name a rose for our much admired fellow countryman and a donation of £5 from every plant sold will be made to the George Best Foundation.
