HYBRID TEA ROSES

BENITA (Dicquarrel)                                             £6.75
1995
Beautiful deep amber/ gold which shuns disease.
Produces a spectacular summer show late into the season - just a pity it doesn't have glossy foliage, but it is fragrant.  You can't have everything!

DAWN CHORUS (Dicquasar)                                 £6.75
1993
Smaller than average blooms for a Hybrid Tea of a lovely deep orange with a yellow glaze.
Voted "Rose of the Year" in 1993, it
makes a good bedding rose.

FRAGRANT DREAM (Dicodour)                    £6.75
1989
Maybe not the most vigorous but that perfume is to die for!
The apricot-salmon blooms are large but, could do with an extra row of petals.

Quicker than most to repeat.

EMPRESS MICHIKO (Dicnifty)                              £6.75
1992
Short growing blush pink Hybrid Tea loved by flower arrangers.
One for the front of the border.  Watch out for those thorns, they're nasty!

GLORIOUS (Interictira)                                       £6.75
2001
This clear mid- yellow has light to mid green glossy foliage and puts a real effort into its first flush of flower.  It's got a nice scent too.
A bed of this will blow your mind!

GOLDEN KISS (Dicalways)                                         £6.75
2002

A beautiful golden yellow with pink, almost crimson edges to the petals.
Superb, long lasting, perfectly formed and above average size blooms are produced on an upright to bushy plant which can carry up to five flowers per truss, often at the same stage of development. A marvellous sight in our field last summer!
Golden Kiss grows to about 90 cm, has a pleasant scent and good disease tolerance.

LESLIE'S DREAM (Dicjoon)                              £6.75
1994
A strong growing crimson loved by exhibitors, but you'll need to grow four or five bushes as some blooms tend to split.
This one always sells out early, so be warned!

LOVELY LADY (Dicjubell)                            £6.75
1986
Rose-pink, great for bedding. One for the fairer sex so, go on boys, spoil the lady in your life!
Fragrant too!

TEQUILA SUNRISE (Dicobey)                          £6.75
1989
Vibrant strawberry and gold bicolour which has won numerous major awards from various international trials.
At its best in dry conditions as hard petals tend to spot a little in the rain but, as one of the Gold Medals came from rainy Belfast, the spotting soon cleans up.

TINTINARA (Dicuptight)                          £6.75
1996
This poppy red was unlucky enough to be pipped to the Golden Rose of the Hague, not once, but three times - at least it's consistent.
One of our favourites!

PRINCESS ROYAL (Dicroyal)                     £6.75
1992
Chosen personally by Her Royal Highness .
This apricot-gold is a very sturdy grower and if you want to keep children and animals away from your flower bed, plant this one!

It's got its fair share of large thorns.

PURE BLISS (Dictator)                            £6.75
1995
A very rewarding fragrant soft two tone pink Hybrid Tea producing large elegant blooms which repeat quickly.
Most attractive to men and women alike!

RACY LADY ( Dicwaffle)                                     £6.75
1999
A daughter of
Elina, this variety has been picking up awards in various countries recently, including "Gold Star of the South Pacific" in New Zealand.
High centred blooms of cream with a hint of peach and lemon in the centre.

SIMPLY HEAVEN (Diczombie)                     £6.75
2001
Unusual colour; lemon shot through with bronze.
This is the first Hybrid Tea to win a Gold Medal from the Royal National Rose Society since 1988.
Taller than the average, but also one of the healthiest!

ISN’T SHE LOVELY (Diciluvit)                                         £6.75
2008

A truly appropriate name for a classic HT which has superb lasting quality. The pointed buds are creamy gold with a slight pink edge and they open to ivory with a centre showing deep tones of pink and gold. Some blooms can appear to be completely ivory.

A true HT as it produces only single, full petalled blooms which are approximately 11.5 cm in diameter. It is slightly lower than average height at around 80 cm and plant habit is upright to bushy. Foliage is dense, medium size, dark green and semi-glossy. A strong-growing plant with excellent disease-resistance and a pleasant fragrance. Already a success on the show benches!

MYSTERY GIRL (Dicdothis)                              £6.75
2008
This shapely HT produces above-average blooms (it has some cut-flower ancestry) in an attractive shade of deep lemon. The large, very full blooms (51 petals) are produced in clusters of 1 - 6 and have a long duration. Flowering period is also long and fragrance is moderate. Habit is upright to bushy, with height about average at around 90 cm. Foliage is moderately dense, large, dark green and glossy. Mystery Girl has won awards at international trials in Paris, Barcelona, Baden-Baden and Dublin.
